PRODUCT DIRECTION 04 · MONITORED LUBRICATION

Position-Monitored Lubrication Distributor Assemblies

Complementary lubrication assemblies for continuous-press reliability work, defined around metering function, ports, sensing, mounting and the existing control-system interface.

REPLACEMENT DEFINITION

Define the part around the press—not around a generic catalogue name.

Continuous-press aftermarket work is highly interface-dependent. Existing-part data, equipment references and maintenance responsibility need to be aligned before an RFQ can become a controlled manufacturing package.

01

What needs to be defined

  • Existing distributor model / assembly reference and circuit position
  • Number of outlets, port sizes and connection orientation
  • Metering / low-flow requirement from the approved system basis
  • Position-monitoring or sensor function and electrical interface
  • Mounting envelope and environmental / protection requirements where specified
02

Information requested from the buyer

  • Existing assembly photos, drawings and nameplate information
  • Lubrication diagram or circuit reference where available
  • Port / tube connection data and mounting dimensions
  • Sensor / switch electrical characteristics and connector details
  • Required function-test and documentation expectations
03

Scope & interface considerations

  • Lubricant circuit and low-flow metering relationship
  • Mechanical mounting and tubing connection interfaces
  • Sensor position / switching logic and control-system compatibility
  • Commissioning and field function-check responsibility
04

Manufacturing & verification considerations

  • Dimensional and port configuration inspection
  • Metering / flow-function verification against agreed test criteria
  • Sensor / position-monitoring function test
  • Assembly identification, traceability and protected export packaging

Lubrication-distributor replacement should be treated as both a mechanical and functional interface task. Port geometry alone is not enough when metering and monitored position are part of the system requirement.

TECHNICAL ENQUIRY

Start with the existing part, drawing, interface and maintenance context.

A useful first enquiry does not need to be a finished specification. It should give enough equipment and replacement context to identify the missing definition work.
